He paid tributes to Dr Priyanka Reddy at the office of Director of Animal Husbandry here.

Director of Animal Husbandry Dr V Lakshma Reddy, office staff, veterinary students, representatives of women associations paid tributes and stood silent in homage for two minutes. Earlier, a large number students of veterinary college, Rajendra Nagar, took out a huge rally up to director office and demanded that the government take stringent action against offenders.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that it was unfortunate that such dastardly incidents continue to happen despite several measures taken by the state government to improve law and order situation. He advised students to be alert in such incidents and take proper precautionary measures. He that the state government would provide necessary support and help to the aggrieved family of Dr Priyanka Reddy. The minister also promised to take stringent measures to prevent such incidents in future.

All India Veterinary Doctors Association south zone secretary Dr M Kiran Kumar demanded that the offenders be hanged in public so that such incidents would not be repeated in future. He also demanded that the government to provide necessary security to women doctors.

POW leader Sandhya alleged that the incident occurred due to the negligence of police. Had police responded in time, the incident would never have happened, she said. She asked the state government to take necessary measures to provide security to women.

Veterinary Officials' Association state president Dr Babu Bheri, president of Telangana Veterinary Doctors Association Dr UR Ramesh, veterinary students association leaders, veterinary professors association leaders and others were present.
