Syndicate Bank Officers’ Association (SBOA) staged dharna in front of the bank’s zonal office here on Sunday opposing the merging of the bank with Canara Bank.

Khairatabad: Syndicate Bank Officers' Association (SBOA) staged dharna in front of the bank's zonal office here on Sunday opposing the merging of the bank with Canara Bank. SBOA vice president V Sampanna Raju said that there is no necessity of merging a 94-year-old bank, which has customers in lakhs and staff in thousands. "This will not help in the rise of nation's economy or in the reduction of Non-Performing Assets (NPAs)," he added.

SBOA deputy general secretary Iqbal, Retired Officers' Association national general secretary Gangadhar Yadav, Bank of India leader Nageshwar, Central Bank of India leader Mallikarjun and others were present on the occasion.
