Secunderabad: Two NRI widow sisters, Indira Souri and Meera Devadanam, say their life has become miserable following life-threatening calls.

• Several pleas to police against encroacher on their property in vain

• They say they are being harassed even during night time

A person named B Laxam Reddy forcefully barged into B.NO 217, New Staff Lines, Mudfort, Gymkhana Road. The miscreants are damaging household properties and cutting off water supply and camera and parking their lorries in the premises. In regard to this issue, a press conference was held at Press Club, Somajiguda.

"Every movement we are living in tension. The whole night we are not able to sleep. We are highly scared, tensed and we very well know this person can go to any extent," says, Meera Davadvanam.

She said that on March 18 at midnight, B Laxma Reddy along with his gang broke the lock of their main gate, and entered their premises and threatened them. She further said the accused also parked his lorries on their premises, causing hindrance to their movement in their own house and this issue is repeated regularly.

"Knowing we are residents of both America and India and frequently visit our ancestral house in Mudfort, the accused is staking advantage of this situation and indulging in such acts to usurp our property. We had logged a complained at Karkhana police station, but no action is taken, I want to know why the state government and the authorities concerned are not taking stern action."

She said that on April 16 they organized a press conference on this issue and presented a video footage of the harassment. "The lorries parked in our premises contain illegal materials and many times we requested Karkhana police to remove them but no action has been taken. They parked the lorries in such a way that it has become difficult for us to move. "

Indira Souri said, "we are tensed and not able understand why these people are coming at night. Who are they and what they want and why are they trying to terrorise us? From this only one thing is clear that they want to grab our 2 acres land and if anything happens to us, Laxma Reddy would be responsible."

She also said that on May 1, B Laxma Reddy made a media statement that he had nothing do with their bungalow, but the video evidence clearly proves how the entire house was under siege with the parked his lorries.

Why is the police department not supporting us, which only means that even there are supporting the culprits. As we think that some big hand is behind the entire episode, we demand a CBI inquiry. We request our Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to come to our rescue. Many times, we tried to get his appointment but failed to get it."
