Himayat Nagar: Leaders of various political parties released the wall poster for the all-party protest program to be held at Dharna Chowk on Saturday, at Maqdoom Bhavan here on Thursday. The wall poster highlights various demands over the Inter fiasco.
The demands include providing job, apart from ex-gratia, to a family member of each deceased Inter student, dismissal of education minister and necessary action against the officials responsible for the goof-up, re-verification of all the answer sheets and a judicial enquiry on the Inter fiasco by a sitting judge.
Kumari Udaya, sister of the first year Inter student Anamika, who committed suicide, speaking on the occasion, demanded action against Globarena Company and the officials responsible for the fiasco. She said that their family did not need any money or job but wanted action against the erring officials.
The leaders of various parties, speaking during the programme, appealed to the students not to get discouraged by the low marks and asked them not to take their lives. Many speakers urged the students to fight against the injustice rather than ending their lives.
Among those who attended the program include General Secretary of state Congress party MRG Vinod Reddy, Congress party official spokesperson Addanki Dayakar, TDP state leader Muppidi Madhukar, Ravindra Chari, CPI state committee member Dr D Sudhakar, CPI Hyderabad city samithi secretary ET Narsimha, Telangana Jana Samithi Prof Vishweshwar, TJS student leaders Ramana Singh, Sandhya, Arunodhaya Vimalakka, Jana Sena state leader Araham Yousuf, Nageshwar Rao, women federation leaders Potu Kalavathi, Chaya Devi and others.
