Accuses TRS of trying to scare voters citing communal violence

Hyderabad: Telangana BJP chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar said that people of Hyderabad wanted development as well as self-respect. The BJP chief, who participated in a roadshow as part of the GHMC elections, addressed people at Shivaji Chowk in Kavadiguda and at several other places in road corner meetings here on Saturday.

Responding to a case filed against him, Sanjay said that it would not deter him from fighting for the self-respect of Telugu people and Telangana people. He clarified that he responded "to demolish Darussalam" only when the

MIM called for demolition of PV and NTR Ghats, for which, the TRS government had filed a case against him.

"I am not scared even 100 cases are slapped against me. Will resolutely fight for the self-respect of Telugu and Telangana people. I will stand by my word," he added.

He alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was hand-in-glove with the corporate hospitals and trying to scuttle the process of bringing the vaccine for Covid. That was the reason why he did not go to Bharat Biotech which was just short distance away all these days, he said.

The BJP MP said that the Chief Minister was resorting to petty politics when Prime Minister Narendra Modi was trying to ensure a vaccine was developed for Covid.

He dismissed the statements that there would be communal incidents if BJP was voted to power in the GHMC elections. "The saffron party is governing about 80 per cent civic bodies and is in power in 16 States. But, there are no incidents of communal violence," he said.

Further, he alleged that the TRS chief was trying to scare voters citing communal violence and distributing money to grab the votes.
