Hyderabad: Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan, Governor of Telangana, visited 'Adi Dhwani' an exhibition of 124 musical instruments of tribals here on Tuesday. The Governor said that the time has come to protect folk art and ancient tribal music instruments failing which they may face extinction soon. Special measures have to be taken to protect these tribal musical tunes and instruments.

She further assured that all possible help would be rendered to establish a museum for preserving all tribal musical instruments. She lauded the untiring efforts of Prof. Jayadheer Thirumala Rao over the years in collecting these musical instruments.

She feicitated the Runjha, Thoti Burravadyam, Kikri, Koyadolu artists. Prof. Guduru Manoja, Dr. Saibaba Goud and Dr. Potlapalli Varaprasada Rao were among others who participated.
