Haritha Tourism Hotel proposed to be constructed in Khammam

Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation is going to construct a suspension bridge on Lakaram tank at a cost of Rs 8 crore and a floating musical fountain with an expenditure of Rs 2 crore. Also, the corporation is planning to construct Haritha Hotel at a cost of Rs 10 crore near new bus stand, with lavish rooms and banquet halls.

On the other hand, the existing Sardar Patel stadium has been renovated with Rs 1.31 crore. The officials have constructed first floor, skating ring, athletic sand track and cricket turf wicket.

District Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar, who took the initiation for taking up the development works, said that they have planned to develop Lakaram tank on par with Laknavaram and Komaticheruvu. He added that his intention was to make Khammam district as ultimate tourist destination. 'The government allotted second phase development of IT hub to the district. Now, we are planning to develop Khammam town as Tourism hub in the coming days.'

Ministers V Srinivas Goud and P Ajay Kumar will lay foundation stone for all these works on Tuesday.
