Amaravati Kids Run organised
About 500 school children participated in Amaravati Kids Run-2019, oganised by Amaravati Runners and Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) with a slogan ‘Health is Wealth’ here on Sunday.
Vijayawada: About 500 school children participated in Amaravati Kids Run-2019, oganised by Amaravati Runners and Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) with a slogan 'Health is Wealth' here on Sunday.
Students from 55 various schools of the city participated in the run which started at BRTS road at 6 am. There are three categories in the run-- 2K, 3K and 4K. About 150 students participated in 2K run, 174 in 3K run and 225 in 4K run. As part of the run, cultural programmes were organised on the occasion. Jumba Dance entertained the parents of the students who came to encourage their children for the run. Children of government officers too participated in the run.
Former district collector A Babu, Reliance Jio AP CEO M Mahesh Kumar, managements of Blossoms Hospital, Nalalnda School, and Blooming Dale School participated. The winners of the run were given prizes. The participants requested the organisers to organise the run once in every three months. Amaravati Runners president Raavi Ramesh Babu expressed his delight on the success of the run.
