Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh Unemployed Joint Action Committee (APUJAC) in a letter to Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy requested that the Group 3 results announced considering GO No 5 issued by the previous government should be cancelled as the poor rural students from Telugu medium are at loss.

In spite of repeated reminders to the department, their request was not taken into consideration. They recalled that 1:12 or 1:50 ratio is not mentioned in the GO No 5. However, the government was following 1:12 ratio which was a huge loss for the unemployed poor youth of the state.

Speaking to the media, APUJAC state president S Hemanth Kumar demanded that the government cancel the Group 3 results which were announced following 1:12 ratio and announce the results following 1:50 ratio. He also demanded that the government follow the same 1:50 ratio for the Group 1 and 2 examination results failing which they would go on a hunger strike.

He said that they welcome the government initiative on village secretary posts and requested to provide the syllabus along with the notification, follow roster system in selection of the candidates as per their districts, enhance the age limit to 44 years, follow 1:4 ratio for village secretaries posts, cancel computer certificate as eligibility criteria for writing the exam, cancel examination fees and selection should be done as per the district.
