YSRCP announces 16 MLA, 2 MP candidates for Krishna
The YSRCP announced the list of candidates for all the 16 Assembly segments in Krishna district. The YSRCP gave tickets to all the party in-charges and the incumbent MLAs except former MLA Yalamanchali Ravi.
Vijayawada: The YSRCP announced the list of candidates for all the 16 Assembly segments in Krishna district. The YSRCP gave tickets to all the party in-charges and the incumbent MLAs except former MLA Yalamanchali Ravi. The YSRCP selected former MP Vallabhaneni Balashowry for Machilipatnam parliamentary seat and industrialist Potluri Varaprasad for Vijayawada Lok Sabha seat.
Vallabhaneni Balashowry was elected from Tenali Lok Sabha seat in the past and industrialist Potluri is contesting for the first time in politics. As per the announcement of the party high command, K Rakshananidhi (Tiruvuru), Yarlagadda Venkata Rao (Gannavaram), Kodali Venkateswara Rao (Gudivada), Dulam Nageswara Rao (Kaikaluru), Jogi Ramesh (Pedana), Perni Venkataramaiah (Machilipatnam), Dr Simhadri Ramesh Babu (Avanigadda), K Anilkumar (Pamarru), K Pardhasaradhi (Penamaluru), Velampalli Srinivas (Vijayawada West), Malladi Vishnu (Vijayawada Central), Boppana Bhavakumar (Vijayawada East), Vasantha Krishnaprasad (Mylavaram), Dr M Jaganmohan Rao (Nandigama), Samineni Udayabhanu (Jaggaiahpet) and M Prathap Appa Rao (Nuzvid) are the contestants for Assembly seats.
Indeed, the YSRCP announced Yalamanchali Ravi as candidate for Vijayawada East Assembly seat during YS Jaganmohan Reddy's padayatra in the city but his name was replaced with corporator Boppana Bhavakumar. He also worked as constituency in-charge before Ravi's appointment. But now he got chance for the first time to contest for Assembly constituency.
Former minister K Pardhasaradhi would contest from Penamaluru Assembly segment. He was elected with a margin of 177 votes in 2009 elections and got Cabinet minister post. He was defeated from Machilipatnam parliamentary seat in the last elections.
Now, again he is ready to contest from Penamaluru Assembly constituency. YCP MLAs Kodali Venkateswara Rao, Meka Prathap Appa Rao and Rakshananidhi again got tickets from their representing Assembly seats. Former MLA Velampalli Srinivas who contested from Vijayawada West on BJP ticket in the last elections now got YSR Congress ticket.
