Nellore: Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan said TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu was not giving his own money to the people and was only implementing schemes with public money while questioning the propriety of naming the schemes after party leaders.
Pawan Kalyan, reached the city three hours behind the schedule, addressed a gathering here on Tuesday as part of election campaign. Objecting to names of schemes like Chandranna Bima, NTR Annadanam, he said schemes should be named after great leaders who sacrificed their lives for the state and country.
Taking a dig at YSRCP chief, he said he would not postpone any assurance like Y S Jaganmohan Reddy who tells people approaching him to narrate their problems to elect him as chief minister first and then he would to resolve their problems.
Criticising the local legislators for being busy with their betting activities ignoring the needs of local population, Pawan Kalyan asked the voters to elect persons who are committed to serve them rather spending time on betting and anti-social activities.
Questioning the rationality behind the bifurcation of state, he blamed the leaders of various political parties for giving importance to their selfish goals rather than the interests of the state. "Now Telugu people in Hyderabad are made to feel like they are aliens due to the situation arising out of bifurcation even though they were born and brought up there. I told the same to Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a meet in Gandhinagar in the past," he said.
Pawan said he had set up Jana Sena Party only to make politics accessible even to common people who can understand problems of the poor and the needy. He assured 10 gas cylinders free of cost per year and transfer of money up to Rs 3,500 per month to the poor for their daily needs if he comes to power.
The Jana Sena chief also said minister P Narayana who began his career as a mere tuition teacher was now a multi-millionaire. Stating that he reached this position tutoring Nara Lokesh, he sarcastically asked him to teach the tricks he had adopted to become so rich. He asked the minister Narayana why he hadn't allowed him when he visited Barashaheed dargah sometime ago, saying his mother belonged to Nellore city.
Pawan Kalyan introduced Nellore Lok Sabha candidate Chandra Rajagopal from the CPM, Jana Sena city candidate K Vinod Kumar Reddy, rural constituency candidate Manukranth Reddy and others to the people.
Addressing public meetings in Kovur and Bitragunta, the Jana Sena chief said there was no chain to cycle and power to fan and only Jana Sena was going to create history in 2019 polls. Stating that now YSR Congress chief Jagan was showing affection for BCs, he asked him to convert OCs in Telanagana to BCs by convincing TS Chief Minister KCR if he was really committed to their cause.
"TDP lost its hold in the state. Party chief Chandrababu also has also no control over his party MLAs and MPs. He is concerned about political career of his son Lokesh. Jagan is also focusing on his future. I assure farmers who handed over lands to Kisan SEZ for proper compensation as per Land Acquisition Act, 2013. I will bring new industries for creating 10 lakh job opportunities to the district and three lakh backlog posts would be cleared within next six months if we come to power," he said.
