ACP, ex-MP's sons beat passerby

Hyderabad: SR Nagar police filed a case against the sons of an ACP and a former MP on Sunday.Both of them with their friends consumed liquor on Saturday night and obstructed the travelers who were passing by Keerthi Apartments in Ameerpet.

At about 1:45 am, a private employee, Ashok, of Yellareddyguda, was passing through the area. The accused stopped him and asked for the match box. When he said he did not have the match box they started pushing him and attacked him in a drunken state.

The victim managed to escape from them and lodged a complaint against the persons in SR Nagar police station. Later, the other group reached the police station and complained against the victim.

Police took the drunken persons into their custody. When they came to know about their background they also detained the victim in the police station.

When the victim's friends made the CCTV footage related to the issue into viral in social media, police came forward and registered cases against both the parties for pushing one another and are investigating the case.
