Businessman held for cheating woman on pretext of marriage in Gujarat

Vadodara: The police have arrested a businessman for cheating a woman on the pretext of marriage in Vadodara of Gujarat.

Going into details, a young woman belongs to Prem Nagar in Fatehnagar is studying in college. She came into contact with the businessman through her friends. The accused who had an eye on the woman pretend to be nice and use to chat with her regularly.

In this context, he proposed his love and said to marry her, where the woman said yes to him. On May 1, 2017, both got married secretly at a temple in Prem Nagar. The next day, he booked a hotel and became physical with her and recorded her video by placing cameras in the room.

The next day, he sent her away from the hotel that his parents didn't accept the marriage and said to take her back after convincing them in a few days. Since then, he stayed away from her. In the meantime, she became pregnant and started to look for her husband, where she came to know that he is already married and had children.

With the help of the friends, she caught her husband and confronted him and demanded to do justice for her. Taking advantage of this, he mixed some drugs in her food by which she got the abortion.

Later he demanded Rs 15 lakh for marriage with her. With this, the victim approached the police station and lodged a complaint. On receiving the information, the police registered a case, arrested the accused and investigating further.
