Pune: In a bizarre incident, a food delivery boy who works for the Zomato app has kidnapped the customer pet beagle dog in Pune on Monday. This incident came into light when the pet owner Vandana Shah shared her experience through a Twitter post, where she said the incident happened on Monday afternoon.

Over examining the CCTV cameras, the dog was last seen playing inside the premises of her house cum factory complex. The dog named 'Dottu' disappeared then after, Shah started searching for it in the nearby surrounding area.

Suspecting that the food delivery boy might have lifted the dog, she approached the police. But the police didn't register a case and said they would investigate the issue.

It came to know from the local eatery that a food delivery boy was seen carrying the dog. The person said he had seen a dog with his colleague and he took the dog along with him. Later, Vandana Shah collected the picture of Dottu with a man, who turned out to be the Zomato food delivery guy, identified as Tushar.

When she contacted Tushar over mobile, he said the dog is with him. Tushar also said he doesn't know that it belongs to them. When asked to return the dog, Tushar said that he sent it to his hometown. Shah also offered him some money if he returns the dog. Tushar who made excuses later switched off his mobile.

Over this, Vandana Shah filed a complaint with Zomoto through Twitter and urged them to help in getting back her beagle dog. Responding to her tweet, Zomoto said they would not excuse such actions, told to send the details of the food which was ordered and assured to look into the matter.
