Man sentenced to death in rape-murder case of 5-year-old girl in Haryana

Chandigarh: A 23-year-old man was sentenced to death by a local court in the rape and murder case of a 5-year-old girl in Haryana. The incident happened in the Palwal district of Harayana in June 2018, where the accused Virender was working at the victim's house.

In the act of revenge, the accused kidnapped the child and took her to his home, raped and killed her. Later, he stuffed her body inside a wheat flour container. The accused's mother, who helped him in the crime, was also sentenced to seven years imprisonment along with Rs 5,000 fine.
