Indian-origin millionaire Tushar Atre was a resident of California's Santa Cruz. On October 1, around 3 am, he was kidnapped from his home and later found dead inside his BMW car.

As per the LinkedIn profile, Atre was the owner of AtreNet, a web design company that caters to Silicon Valley corporate businesses.

His Twitter profile reads: "Surfer. Mushroom forager. Always on the go."

On Tuesday, it was reported that the department had received a 911 emergency call from Tushar Atre's residence early in the morning. Officials said that Tushar Atre was kidnapped from his oceanfront home in Santa Cruz. The 50-year-old Santa Cruz Tech CEO was last seen getting into his white BMW.

Hours later, officials updated the post, saying: "We have some unfortunate news. We have found the car associated with this case, along with a deceased person."

On Wednesday, officials again updated the post to say the body had been identified as Atre. Investigators are chasing multiple suspects in connection with Atre's kidnapping case.

"We are looking into all aspects of his life," told Sgt. Brian Cleveland, a spokesman for the Sheriff's Office. "All doors are open."
