Woman kills daughter-in-law, surrenders to police in Maharashtra

Vasai: In a tragic incident, a 48-year-old woman allegedly killed her daughter-in-law over a domestic issue at Vasai in Palghar district of Maharashtra on Sunday morning.

The accused identified as Anandi Mane, who resides at Manickpur in Vasai. Going into details, Rohan (33), the son of Anandi Mane has fallen in love with Ariya (32) and got married to her five years ago.

After giving birth to a child, Ariya has got a nursing job in Texas city and the couple left to the US. With this, Anandi becomes alone in the house and held her daughter-in-law responsible for taking her son and grandchildren away from her.

Over this, the accused and daughter-in-law use to have frequent arguments. On December 1st, Rohan and Ariya came to Mumbai to attend the wedding at a relative's house.

On Sunday, when Rohan went to the morning walk, Anandi gets into an argument with Ariya where she attacked daughter-in-law by hitting her head with a flower vase. Due to severe bleeding, Ariya died on the spot. Later, Anandi went to the police station and surrendered herself.

The police have registered a case against the accused and took her into their custody, reached the crime spot and shifted the body to the hospital for post-mortem.
