BJP Minister Giriraj Singh: Shaheen Bagh, A Conspiracy Against Nation

Union Minister for Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries termed the protests against Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and National Register of Citizens (NRC) in Shaheen Bagh of the national capital, as a conspiracy against the nation. The BJP leader from Begusarai in Bihar in a controversial tweet said that suicide bombers were being trained in Shaheen Bagh. The Union Minister's tweet comes on the last day of campaigning for Delhi elections, keeping the Shaheen Bagh protests in sharp focus.

Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi observed that Congress leader and Wayanad MP, Rahul Gandhi and AIMIM leader and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi wanted to turn the entire country into a Shaheen Bagh. BJP leaders have been trying to stress upon the point that Shaheen Bagh protests are not organic but orchestrated by AAP and Congress. Uttar Pradesh chief minister, Yogi Adityanath had accused AAP supremo, Arvind Kejriwal of supplying biriyani to protesters at Shaheen Bagh.

The BJP has also latched on to the Delhi crime branch's revelation that the Shaheen Bagh shooter, Kapil Baisla was an AAP worker. It has tried to drive home the point that AAP is playing vote bank politics buy painting Hindus as aggressors through such provocative acts. The Shaheen Bagh shooter Kapil Baisla, was deliberately made to chant slogans which painted the majority community in bad light, BJP spokespersons said.
