New Delhi: The CBI has asked the Delhi Court for 5-day custody of former Finance Minister Chidambaram, so as to get to the bottom of the INX media case. By the time Chidambaram reached the Court, Chidambaram's son Karti Chidambaram and wife Nalini Chidambaram were there at the Court, along with the lawyer. The Court is yet to announce its decision on the custody of Chidambaram.

Chidambaram has been taken into CBI custody on Wednesday night and was kept in the CBI guesthouse. He was questioned for about 3 hours by the CBI sleuths and was later today produced before the Court. Earlier, the Court has rejected his pre-arrest bail, indicating the enormity of the case. Chidambaram asked to allow him to speak in the Court, and the Court accepted.

The CBI has alleged that Chidambaram has not been cooperating with the interrogation. However, the former finance minister has said that he was not evasive and that he answered all the questions posed to him. Chidambaram said that he told CBI that he doesn't have any foreign account.
