Coronavirus in Andhra Pradesh: There has been no sigh of relief for Andhra Pradesh as there are no signs of slowing down of the number of coronavirus cases in the state. In the latest media health bulletin released, the State has detected 44 fresh cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, taking the COVID-19 tally to 2,671.

Apart from the home cases, 45 are foreign returnees with 41 from Kuwait 3 from quasar and 1 from Saudi Arabia who came back recently under the Vande Bharat Mission. While the cumulative positive cases from other states stand at 153 with Odisha 10, Maharastra 101, Gujarat 26, Karnataka 1, West Bengal 1, Rajasthan 11, Tamil Nadu 3.

On the other hand, 41 patients have recovered and zero deaths were reported. Currently, 767 patients are undergoing treatment and 1,848 have been discharged from hospitals.

Meanwhile, the State's testing capacity has increased and 10,240 samples tested in a span of 24 hours with which, the State crossed the 3-lakh mark for tests conducted for COVID-19, which is highest in the country.
