The countrywide account of Coronavirus positive cases has now crossed one lakh as per the latest data put out by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The countrywide tally of COVID-19 cases now stands at 1,01,139.

The recovery rate in the country is close to 40% which is stated to be higher than that of most other countries. As per government data, 39,174 people have been cured or discharged. There have been 3163 deaths so far.

Maharashtra continues to report the highest number of cases. The state recorded more than 35% of the total number in the country with 35,058 Coronavirus positive cases being reported so far. 1,249 deaths have been recorded in Maharashtra with 8,437 cases of recovery.

Tamil Nadu and Gujarat also have been recording high numbers of Coronavirus positive cases.

Tamil Nadu's total tally has now climbed to 11,760 with a relatively low death rate of 81 fatalities. So far, 4,406 patients have either been cured or discharged in the state.

Gujarat is only 15 cases behind Tamil Nadu in the overall tally with 11,745 confirmed COVID-19 cases. The state has recorded a very high death rate with 694 fatalities. 4,804 people have recovered in the state.

Delhi has reported 10,054 Coronavirus positive cases with 168 deaths. 4,485 people have been cured or discharged in the state so far.

Rajasthan has reported 5,507 confirmed COVID-19 cases so far with 138 deaths. The number of recovered patients in the state stands at 3,218.

Madhya Pradesh has also reported high numbers of confirmed COVID-19 cases. The total tally in the state has now risen to 5,236 with 252 deaths. The number of recovered patients in the state is 2,435.
