India, the fourth worst-affected country in the world in the list of nations in the grip of the coronavirus pandemic, has been recording rising number of cases with each passing day.

With more than 11,000 cases reported over the last 24 hours, the all-India count now stands at 3,32,424 as per the latest update put out on Monday morning by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

There have been 9,520 deaths across the country. India now has 1,53,106 active cases across all states, while 1,69,797 patients have been cured or discharged.

Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Gujarat and Rajasthan are among the states which contribute the most to the overall caseload in the country. However, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab and Rajasthan have managed to lower the positivity rate in their state, which is a good sign, according to experts.

Maharashtra continues to bear the brunt of the coronavirus crisis with the state's COVID-19 count now climbing to 1,07,958. Maharashtra's death count stands at 3,950.

Tamil Nadu is among the worst hit states with overall COVID-19 tally in the state now mounting to 44,661. Tamil Nadu has recorded 435 fatalities.

Delhi which has seen a sharp spike in coronavirus cases has reported a total count of 41,182 confirmed coronavirus patients with a death count of 1,327.

Gujarat's COVID-19 count has now reached 23,544 with the death count climbing to 1,327.

Uttar Pradesh has recorded 13,615 confirmed coronavirus cases and 399 deaths.

Rajasthan has reported 12,694 confirmed coronavirus patients so far with 292 deaths. However, it has managed to lower the positivity rate in the state.

Madhya Pradesh, like Rajasthan, has managed to curb the positivity rate of the infection. The state reported 10,802 confirmed COVID-19 cases with the total death count in the state now reaching 3,950.

West Bengal has so far reported 11,087 cases of coronavirus with 475 deaths.

Haryana has seen a spike in cases in recent days, with Gurugram being seen as one of the emerging hotspots. The state's tally has now reached 7,208 with 88 deaths.

Karnataka has reported 7,000 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 86 deaths.
