Coronavirus Update: India COVID-19 Count Crosses 3,50,000 Mark

In a disturbing milestone, India has crossed the 3,50,000 mark in the number of confirmed coronavirus cases. The country recorded more than 11,000 COVID-19 cases over 24 hours, for a third day in a row, as per the latest update put out on Wednesday morning by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The countrywide COVID-19 tally has now reached 3,54,065.

The death count is now close to 12,000 with 11,903 deaths being recorded across the country. There are 1,55,227 active cases across all states. 1,86,935 patients have been cured or discharged.

Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan continue to contribute the most to the overall caseload in the country.

Maharashtra continues to grapple with the spread of the coronavirus pandemic with the state's COVID-19 tally now mounting to 1,13,445. Maharashtra's death count has now reached 5,537.

Tamil Nadu is the second worst-hit states among the ones affected by COVID-19 tally. The state tally has now reached with 48,019 deaths.

Delhi has been one of the major hotspots of the coronavirus pandemic with a tally of 44,688 confirmed cases and a death count of 1,837.

Gujarat has also been badly hit by the pandemic and its COVID-19 count has now reached 24,577 with 1,533 deaths.

Uttar Pradesh has reported 14,091 confirmed coronavirus cases and 417 deaths.

Rajasthan has reported 13,216 confirmed coronavirus patients so far with 308 deaths.

Madhya Pradesh has reported 11,083 confirmed COVID-19 cases with the total death count in the state now reaching 476.

West Bengal is 91 cases short of the 12,000 mark and has so far reported 11,909 cases of coronavirus with 495 deaths.

Haryana has seen a spike in cases in recent days, with Gurugram being seen as one of the emerging hotspots. The state's tally has now reached 8,272 with 118 deaths.

Karnataka has reported 7,530 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 94 deaths.
