PANAJI: On Sunday, PWD minister Deepak Pauskar had said, "Many parts of the state are facing water shortage since March and have to rely on water tankers. My constituency is no exception as 60% of Sanvordem is relying on tankers."

By attacking former PWD minister Ramkrishna Dhavalikar who had failed to address water issues in the state.

"It is a sorry state of affairs that even after so many years and knowing what the problem is, he failed to correct it. We should not be having these water shortages in the first place. This proves that investments of crores of rupees so far have failed to augment water supply in estimated quantum while leakages of water, even at some water treatment plants have not been plugged," the PWD minister said.

"A report will be submitted to the chief minister Pramod Sawant in the next few days," he added.

Pauskar was inducted into the cabinet in mid-March and given the charge of PWD ministry which was held by his former colleague Dhavalikar.
