US President Donald Trump told the media that he looks forward to meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi later this month. President Trump also told press persons that the Indian Prime Minister had told him that "millions and millions of people" will attend the Gujarat event.

The White House, on Monday, announced President Trump's India visit on February 24 and 25. Donald Trump observed a day later that he spoke to PM Modi about his visit.

Trump remarked, "I am going to India. PM Modi said we will have millions and millions of people. He thinks we will have 5-7 million people just from the airport to the new stadium," he said in a chat with the media on his scheduled India visit.

In a light-hearted remark alluding to the 'Howdy Modi' event held in Houston in 2019, he said, "when we have 50,000 people, I'm not going to feel so good...we'll have five to seven million people just from the airport to the new stadium. And you know it is the largest stadium in the world." President Trump said.

Trump described Prime Minister Narendra Modi as "a friend of mine. He's a great gentleman." PM Modi and Donald Trump are scheduled to address a mega rally at the newly constructed Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad.

With a seating capacity of 1 lakh spectators Motera Stadium is said to be the world's largest cricket stadium surpassing the size of the celebrated Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in Australia.

President Trump will be travelling to Ahmedabad and New Delhi on February 24 and 25, as per a White House announcement.
