BENGALURU: On Sunday, while the residents of the Whitefield took a stroll near Sheelavantha Lake, shockingly they found food batter oozing out of large sacks which have been piled up on the banks of the lake.

The residents had noticed that, the sacks belonged to iD Fresh Foods and contained dosa-idli batter and ready-to-cook parathas which were produced by the food firm.

The Sheelavantha Lake is home to a rich species of aquatic life, including fish, frogs and toads, the lake is spread over 19 acres and 32 guntas. "We saw around six to seven gunny bags, from which thick white liquid were flowing out into the lake. When I requested them to stop throwing garbage into the lakes, they would threaten and beat me up," said Natasha G (name changed), a resident

The residents were upset over the issue and immediately took it to the social media by highlight it and demanded the CEO of iD Fresh Foods, Musthafa PC, to look into the issue.

Later, Musthafa had told a source that, he was not aware of the dumping issue and as soon as he was informed, he immediately took rigid action against the contractors who were responsible. "I apologise to the residents..," said Musthafa.
