New Delhi: The Narendra Modi-led NDA government braced itself on Tuesday, for another day of stormy scenes in the Parliament over the Delhi violence. The Parliament witnessed pandemonium on Monday, as members of the Congress and the BJP faced off and jostled with each other in the Lok Sabha.

The Opposition led by the Congress party raised slogans demanding justice and Union Home Minister Amit Shah's resignation. The Lok Sabha Speaker, Om Birla adjourned the house in the morning amidst noisy scenes. When the house reconvened at 2 PM, once again there was chaos in the house as members of the ruling party and the opposition came face to face.

The Lok Sabha Speaker called for an all-party meeting to break the logjam and ensure that business of the House is conducted smoothly

In the Rajya Sabha, Chairman Venkaiah Naidu on Monday, told members that a discussion on the subject of Delhi violence would be held after the situation returns to normal and once the atmosphere is conducive. The Opposition however, insisted on a discussion on the Delhi riots. Leader of Opposition, Ghulam Nabi Azad of the Congress said in the Rajya Sabha that the Modi government 'slept' while riots took place in Delhi.

Members of the Opposition held a demonstration outside the statue of Mahatma Gandhi in the premises of the Parliament. Members of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) blindfolded themselves to suggest the blindness of the Modi government towards the riots which scarred the national capital.

Meanwhile, the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi at 11.00 am on Tuesday.
