It was a dream come true for Tejas, a student of a government school at a village near Haasan in Karnataka

The Kannada boy, who hails from a village in Saaligarama qualified to take part in the Kannada TV game show Kannadadha Kotyadhipati. When host Puneeth Rajkumar asked him what would he do with the prize money if he won, Tejas said he wanted to get the compound wall of his school constructed. He also went on to add that he needed a minimum of 25 lakhs so he could get his mom's eyes operated and also save some for his sister's house education and marriage.

Sure enough, the Haasan lad did win some money (6.4 lakh). And as promised he said he wanted to give to his school. However, Karnataka education minister S Suresh Kumar not only praised him for his offer but politely declined to use his money for school. While instructing the concerned officials to look into the matter, the minister asked the Kannada boy to use it for his mom's eye surgery and sister's education.

Isn't it a nice thought? The class 10 boy wanting to do his bit for the society and also the politician who decided to use the funds meant for school development in the right way.
