IMD warns three states to witness heavy rainfall

Chandigarh: Haryana, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh may witness heavy rainfall in the next three days, says weather department. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an orange alert for the region. State governments have been alerted to be ready with disaster management teams.

The IMD has issued an Orange alert for July 19,20 and 21. According to the forecast, the three states will witness heavy rainfall in these three days.

Speaking on this, Chandigarh IMD Director Surendra Pal said, "These three days are crucial as there is the possibility of rivers swelling and flooding in the three states."
