BJP heavyweight and former Congress leader from Madhya Pradesh, Jyotiraditya Scindiaset tongues wagging by removing the name of the ruling party from his Twitter profile. Scindia's current Twitter profile reads public servant and cricket enthusiast. However, many analysts and a few BJP followers pointed out that Scindia had deleted the name of the Congress from his Twitter handle when he left the party and had not added BJP. The senior BJP leader retweeted a post which stated that all the speculation regarding Scindia's changed Twitter profile was baseless. The retweeted post says that Scindia had added nothing new to his profile and that no changes were made.

The clarification notwithstanding, the changed Twitter profile of the senior BJP leader from Madhya Pradesh has set tongues wagging in political circles. It is pertinent to note here that Madhya Pradesh is likely to have by-polls for 24 seats in the days. This is not the first time that JyotiradityaScindia's Twitter profile has become a matter of discussion in political and social media circles.

When he was in Congress, Scindia made a similar change to his Twitter profile. He deleted Congress from his Twitter handle back then, giving rise to a lot of speculation. As stated earlier, it is being pointed out that after removing the Congress, Scindia made no changes to his Twitter bio.

Neither the BJP nor JyotiradityaScindia has reacted to this move on behalf of the senior Madhya Pradesh leader. At the time of JyotiradityaScindia joining the BJP, it was widely reported that he would be given a cabinet position in the Centre and that his followers would be given ministerial berths in Shivraj Singh Chouhan's cabinet. Speculation is rife that the BJP is holding back on its assurances to JyotiradityaScindia.

It may be recalled that JyotiradityaScindia was admitted into the BJP with great fanfare and welcomed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP party president JP Nadda.
