Karnataka to get its own Mini Tirupathi

The state of Karnataka is set to have a mini Tirupathi, a replica of Tirupathi Tirumala temple in Ramanagara disrict.

BENGALURU: The state government alloted 15 acres of land in Ramanagar district to Tirupathi Tirumala Devasthanam (TTD) Trust on Friday. The same trust built the Venkateshwara temple same in Tirupathi in addition to dining and community halls.

An officer in the chief minister's office said, "It was a long pending proposal and representatives of TTD trust have been requesting the state government for land,"

CM HD Kumaraswamy had a meeting with endowment department officials on Friday where he cleared the proposal.

The temple is being built under the trust's Divya Kshetra programme which seeks to set up Venkateshwara temple in different parts of the country. Currently, there is one temple in Maharashtra.
