After five days of security lockdown in Jammu and Kashmir, phone services and internet were partly restored today.

New Delhi: Post the scrapping of Article 370, phone services and internet were partly restored today in Jammu and Kashmir. Restrictions in the movement were eased to facilitate Jumma or Friday prayers.

As a preventive measure to curb any untoward trouble, several security personnel are still stationed in the valley.

Prayers were allowed in smaller mosques in the interiors, said officials, even as the gates of Jama Masjid remained closed.
