New Delhi: The Delhi government stated that a proposal suggesting the movement of buses and metros in limited capacity to be restarted, has been submitted to the Centre. The Delhi Health Minister told media sources that the Delhi government had sent a detailed proposal on lockdown 4.0 to the Central government. The Delhi government has also suggested that 25% or 50% malls in the national capital can be opened.

The Delhi state government has suggested that markets, shopping complexes and operation of buses and metro services be resumed with strict social distancing norms. Delhi also wants to restart construction activities and wishes to allow movement of labourers within the national capital.

The Delhi government is likely to come out with a standard operating protocol to revive economic activities in the national capital region. Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal has said that various activities would be allowed in the national capital based on the steps announced by the Centre.

Taxis with two passengers are likely to be allowed. Buses will allow only 20 passengers keeping in view the social distancing norms in place. The Delhi government has also suggested that shops selling non-essential items in shopping complexes and malls should be permitted to function.

The Delhi chief minister had stated that he had received more than 5 lakh suggestions from people with regard to exit strategy from lockdown 3.0 and that these inputs proved valuable.
