Lockdown continues across the country amid COVID-19: Here are the some pics

Crores of people across the country have already been placed under lockdown till the end of the month in order to control the spread of novel Coronavirus in the country. The people living in 75 districts across the country, including in major cities such as the capital New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Kolkata have been placed under travel, work restrictions until March 31.

On the other hand, there have been barricades set up at the market to buy vegetables and goods in view of the lockdown. Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray said that no one should come out from their homes however the essential services will continue. UP CM Yogi Adityanath also advised the public via Twitter to keep the family at home and protect the children. The Goa government extended the Janata curfew for three more days. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also tweeted that people should cooperate.

The Director-general of the Indian Council of Medical Research Dr. Balarama Bhargava said that India has conducted 5,000 tests in the past week and a total of 15,000 so far. He said there are as many as 111 labs in operational with a per week testing capacity of 60,000 to 70,000. However, today pics from various cities will prove the lockdown situation in the country.
