New Delhi: BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda Took to Twitter on Friday to attack the Congress leadership over diversion of funds from the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund (PMNRF) to the Rajiv Gandhi foundation. Pointing a finger at Sonia Gandhi who is the chairperson of the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation, the BJP president described funnelling funds into the Foundation as something totally reprehensible, disregarding ethics and lacking in transparency. Nadda added that the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund was meant to help people in distress.

Nadda pointed out that the people of India had donated their hard-earned money to PMNRF to help their fellow citizens in need. "To divert this public money into a family run foundation is not only a brazen fraud but also a big betrayal of the people of India," he added.

Sharpening the attack, Nadda termed the Gandhi family the imperial dynasty of the Congress party and sought an apology from it for what he described as "unchecked loot for self-gains!". The BJP president observed that one family's hunger (a reference to the Gandhi family) for wealth has come at a great cost for the nation and wished that they had devoted their energies towards more constructive agenda.

Nadda's Twitter post said, "One family's hunger for wealth has cost the nation immensely. If only they have devoted their energies towards more constructive agenda.

The Congress' Imperial Dynasty needs to apologise to the unchecked loot for self-gains!"
