A day after Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray swore in as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, the party's editorial Saamana released stating some interesting points about the party's outlook for the state.

To start with, the editorial said the three-party coalition government will act on correcting the mistakes of the previous government which was led by Devendra Fadnavis. Sena added that PM Narendra Modi must fulfill all the needs Maharashtra has, from the centre emphasizing on the fact that the centre must not differentiate between parties.
Speaking about the farmers' plight in the state, the editorial said the relief must come from the central government. "For farmers of Maharashtra, relief has to come from the central government. Even though there are problems for Shiv Sena and BJP in Maharashtra, Uddhav Thackeray and Modi ji are like brothers for each other. Therefore for his younger brother of Maharashtra, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a responsibility," Saamana has written in its editorial.
The article further stated that "Prime Minister is not just for one party but for the entire country. Delhi should accept what the people of Maharashtra have decided. We have shown Delhi our power. Maharashtra brings the most money to Delhi. The economy of the country is dependent on Mumbai. Mumbai provides the highest employment in the country. Even on the borders, there is a lot of contribution from Maharashtra. Therefore Maharashtra should be given respect," Shiv Sena said in Saamana.
In its editorial, Shiv Sena further said, "Uddhav Thackeray took oath as the chief minister. The new government is like a revolution in Maharashtra. Uddhav's government will be of truth and justice for Maharashtra. In five years the Fadnavis government put Maharashtra in debts of Rs 5 lakh crore. Therefore Uddhav Thackeray will have to act fast but very carefully. A saffron flag is hoisted in Vidhan Bhavan and Mantralaya. Maharashtra is on the path of a new beginning."
Shiv Sena and BJP fell out over a power-sharing tussle in Maharashtra after the election results. While Shiv Sena demanded equal sharing of the chief minister's post, BJP refused to give in to the pressure and snapped ties.
Sena has now formed the government by joining hands with arch-rivals Congress and NCP.
Uddhav Thackeray on Thursday night chaired the maiden meeting of his cabinet which sanctioned Rs 20 crore for conservation of the Raigad Fort. He promised solid assistance for farmers after reviewing existing schemes in place for them.
