Both Haryana and Uttar Pradesh have maintained that due to the travel between Delhi and their states, the number of coronavirus cases has been going up.

Commuters experienced considerable difficulties as they had to wait in traffic jams at Ghaziabad on the Delhi UP border and Singhu border on the GT Karnal Road in Haryana. NOIDA (Gautam Buddh Nagar) and Ghaziabad in UP and Gurugram and Faridabad in Haryana, on an average, see a tremendous amount of daily commute and heavy vehicular traffic.
Delhi has been one of the country's major COVID-19 hotspots with 17,386 cases.
Haryana has a caseload of about a 10th of the national capital. The state has so far recorded 1,721 confirmed coronavirus cases with 19 deaths.
Uttar Pradesh has seen a rise in the number of cases as migrants started to return to the state in special trains and other modes of transport. UP has so far reported 7,284 coronaviruses confirmed cases and 198 deaths on account of the deadly pandemic.
