On the International Day of Yoga, Agrima Nair, a native of Powdikonam in Thiruvananthapuram, will go on a solo bicycle trip from Kochi to Ladakh. The 30-year-old graduated from the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology with a doctorate in molecular neuroscience five years ago.

However, it was around that time that she discovered her passion for yoga. She was stressed out and had some health issues while working on her PhD. Later, she went to a yoga guru with her pals and was able to see positive results after only a few sessions.

Agrima went on to Manipal University to pursue a master's degree in yoga therapy. She has travelled widely to many parts of India as a member of the Indian Yoga Association. She specializes in yoga therapy, particularly for patients with lifestyle diseases and mental health difficulties.

Agrima is currently ecstatic about her first cycling journey, which she is taking to promote yoga. On Tuesday, the voyage will set sail from Vaduthala's Chinmaya Vidyalaya. Karnataka, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, and New Delhi would be covered by Agrima.

Agrima refers to her bicycle as 'Chakrika,' which is a Sanskrit word that symbolises Goddess Durga with the celestial discus or wheel. She goes on to say that chakra is a Sanskrit word that refers to numerous regions of the human body as well as yoga.
