AP Cabinet Revamped: Check out the brief note of new ministers
The YSRCP president and chief minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had revamped the cabinet and here are the new ministers and their political careers.
Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy
The senior politician started his political journey by contesting on Janata Party in 1978 and from Congress in 1985, and in 1994 from Pileru and lost. Later he won with a Congress ticket in 1989, 1999, and 2004 from Pileru and Punganuru in 2009. However, he joined YSRCP and won in 2014 and 2019 respectively. He has been allotted with Energy; Forest, Environment, Science & Technology; Mines & Geology portfolio.
Adimulapu Suresh
Adimulapu Suresh aged 58 has served as financial advisor in Railways and later forayed into politics in 2009 and won from Yerragondapalem in Prakasam on Congress party and shifted his loyalty to YS Jagan and won in 2014 and 2019 and has been the minister. He has been allotted Municipal Administration & Urban Development portfolio
Narayana Swamy
The former minister who was inducted into the new cabinet has been into politics by electing as Sarpanch in Annur village in Chittoor. He won from Congress ticket in 2004 and lost in 2009. The minister had joined YSRCP and won in 2014 and 2019 general elections. He has been allotted with the Excise department.
Chelluboina Srinivas Venkatakrishna
He served as ZPTC from 2001 to 2006 in Rajole from the Congress party. Later, he joined YSRCP and lost in 2014 and won in 2019 to serve as a minister under YS Jagan. He has been assigned with Backward Classes Welfare Information & Public Relations; Cinematography.
Botsa Satyanarayana
The senior leader who has vast experience as an MLA and minister under YS Rajasekhar Reddy, Rosaiah, Kiran Kumar Reddy, and YS Jagan Mohan Reddy respectively. Aged 64, he is a well-knowledged person to serve the best as a minister. He has been allotted with the Education department.
Taneti Vanitha
Joined YSRCP in 2013, the yet to swear in as the minister for the second time has lost in 2014 and won in 2019. She had served as Women Development and Child welfare minister. She has been allotted with Home Affairs
Buggana Rajendranath Reddy
The YSRCP MLA started his political journey from TDP and joined Congress followed by YSRCP. He won as MLA from Done in 2014 and 2019 and served as finance minister. He has been assigned with Finance and Planning
Karumuri Venkata Nageswara Rao
Joined the Congress party in 2004 and was elected a member of the Dwarakathirumala ZPTC and became the Chairman of the Zilla Parishad. In 2009, he won the MLA seat from Tanuku on the Congress party ticket. He joined YSRCP before the 2014 elections and lost in Dendulur. He contested from Tanuku again in the 2019 elections and won. He has been allotted with Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs
Gummanuru Jayaram
Won from Chippagiri in 2005 as a member of ZPTC on behalf of TDP, Jayaram lost as an MLA from Alur on behalf of the Prajarajyam Party in 2009. He later joined YSRCP in 2011 and won from Alur in 2014, 2019 and served as Minister of Labour and Employment Training in the Cabinet. He has been allotted with Labour, Employment, Training & Factories
Jogi Ramesh
Started his political career in the Congress party, he served as the Regional Chairman of the Vijayawada RTC and also as a member of the Railway Board. In 2009, he contested for the first time from the Pedana constituency on behalf of the Congress and won. In 2014, he lost from YSRCP in Mylavaram and won in the 2019 general election. He has been allotted with the Housing department.
Seediri Appalaraju
The family has no political background. In 2017, he joined YSRCP in the presence of Jagan Mohan Reddy and won from Palas in 2019. He who belongs to the fishing community joined his cabinet in July 2020. Now the CM has decided to continue him as a minister once again. He has been allotted with Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development & Fisheries department
Gudivada Amarnath
Gudivada Amarnath was born on 22 January 1985 in Anakapalle to Gudivada Gurunath Rao and Nagmani. His father Gudivada Gurunatha Rao was a former MP and MLA. Amarnath studied B.Tech. He who joined YSRCP in 2011 won from Anakapalli in 2019. He was inducted into the cabinet. He has been allotted with Industries, Infrastructure, Investment & Commerce; Information Technology.
Amzath Basha
Served as corporator for Kadapa Municipal Corporation in 2005, he became a loyal minority leader to the YS family in the political aftermath of YS Rajasekhar Reddy's death. In 2014 and 2019 he was elected as Kadapa MLA on behalf of YSRCP and served as Deputy Chief Minister in the cabinet. He has been allotted with the Minority Welfare Department.
Ambati Rambabu
he contested from the Repalle constituency on behalf of the Congress party and was elected to the Assembly for the first time as a legislator in 1989. After the death of then Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy, he resigned from the Congress party and joined the YSR Congress party and won from Sattenapalli in 2019. He has been allotted with Water Resources
Pinipe Viswarup
Joined Congress in 1987 and entered politics. He contested from Mummidivaram and lost the 1998 by-election and the 1999 general election. However, he won from Mummidivaram and Amalapuram in 2004 and 2009 and served as a minister under YS Rajasekhar Reddy, Rosaiah, and Kiran Kumar Reddy. He Joined YSRCP in 2013 and won the 2019 Assembly elections as an MLA. He has been allotted with the transport department
Ushashri Charan
Ushashri from Karnataka settled in Rayadurg in the Anantapur district. She started his political career with TDP in 2012 and joined YSRCP in 2018 and worked as the Kalyanadurg constituency coordinator. She contested from YSRCP in the 2019 elections and won. She has been allotted with Women, Children, Differently abled, and Senior Citizens Welfare
Dharmana Prasada Rao
He served as Minister of Agriculture, Water Resources, and Ports from 1991 to 1994. As he won three consecutive terms in 1999, 2004, and 2009 and served as Revenue minister. Despite losing the 2014 election, he won again in 2019 and now becomes the minister. He has been made Revenue, Registrations, and Stamps
Vidudala Rajini
Vidudala Rajini is the youngest one to get the plum post. She joined YSRCP in 2018 and won as MLA from Chilakaluripeta in 2019 and now going to add another feather to her cap. She has been assigned with Health, Family Welfare & Medical Education
RK Roja
Joined Telugu Desam Party party in 1999 and contested as a TDP candidate from Nagari and Chandragiri in 2004 and 2009 and lost. She joined YSRCP and won from Nagari constituency in 2014 over TDP candidate Gaali Muddukrishnama Naidu and in 2019 over his son Gaali Bhanu Prakash. She served as APIIC Chairman for two years from July 2019. She has been made Tourism, Culture & Youth Advancement.
Merugu Nagarjuna
He made his political debut while working as a professor and contested as a Congress candidate from the Vemur constituency Lost. Later joined YSRCP and served as president of SC Section State. In 2014, he competed for YSRCP and lost and won in n 2019. He has been made Social Welfare department
Boodi Muthyala Naidu
Elected as Convener of the State Youth Congress Campaign in 1991, he emerged in politics from the level of a ward member to vice sarpanch, MPTC member, MPP, and ZPTC. He won from Madugula as YSRCP candidate in the 2014 Assembly elections and served as Deputy Leader of the Opposition in the Legislature. He won a second term in 2019 and now secured a minister post. He has been allotted with Panchayat Raj and Rural Development
Kottu Satyanarayana
He contested as a Congress candidate for the first time in 1994 and lost. Despite losing in 1999, he won the MLA in 2004. In 2009, he was defeated by a Prajarajyam party candidate. After joining the TDP, he did not get a seat and immediately left the party and contested as an independent candidate and lost. He later joined YSRCP and contested for the party in 2019 and won as an MLA for the second time and secured a cabinet berth. He has been assigned with the Endowments department.
Peedika Rajanna Dora
He resigned as GCC senior manager in 2004 and joined the Congress party. Despite the lost, he became an MLA with court orders in that election. He contested from the Congress in 2009 and from YSRCP in 2014 and 2019 and won. He has been made Tribal Welfare minister
Dadishetti Raja
Joined the Prajarajyam Party in 2008 and entered the political arena. Joined YSRCP in 2010 and contested in the 2014 and 2019 Assembly elections and won twice. He has been made Roads and Buildings department
Kakani Govardhan Reddy
In 2006, he was elected Zilla Parishad chairman and later joined YSRCP and won as an MLA from Sarvepalli constituency in 2014 and 2019. He currently serves as chairman of the Legislative Privilege Committee. And now he is inducted into the cabinet. He has been made minister for Agriculture & Cooperation, Marketing, Food Processing.
