Acharya: 10 Interesting Facts About This Most-Awaited Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Movie
Firstly, the shooting of this movie began on 8th October, 2019 with the working title ‘Chiru 152’. But the shooting was stopped in the middle due to the Covid-19 pandemic! So, on the whole, it took 2 years 6 months from the announcement to the release date!
In Khaidi No. 150, Ram Charan essayed a small cameo role! But in Acharya movie, it is said that he will be seen on the screen for more than half-an-hour so it is the first movie which showcases two Mega family heroes together for a long time!
Chiranjeevi already essayed cameo roles in Ram Charan’s blockbuster movies like Bruce Lee and Maghadheera.
It is all known that Chiru is essaying the role of a Naxalite in this movie and this is the second time for him to essay the same role as he was seen in a similar character in Rakta Sindhuram (1985) movie!
One more interesting fact behind this movie is, Koratala Siva actually wanted to helm this movie with Ram Charan but as he was busy with RRR movie, later he made changes in the script according to Chiranjeevi and made Ram Charan essay an extended cameo role!
The title of this movie ‘Acharya’ was leaked by Chiranjeevi in March, 2020 inthe Pitta Katha movie event!
Firstly, the makers roped in Trisha for the lead actress role but then she moved out of the project due to personal reasons and then Kajal Aggarwal stepped in! But unfortunately as Koratala Siva didn’t want to add the romantic angle to Chiranjeevi’s character, he also removed Kajal’s role from the movie!
The movie was mostly shot in the 'Dharmasthali' set which was constructed by the team in Hyderabad! It was specially made in a total of 20 acres of land and the team worked hard for 4 long months to make this temple city!
Tollywood's ace actor Mahesh Babu lent his voice for this movie and earlier he also gave voice over for Pawan Kalyan's Jalsa movie! Well, Pawan was also seen as a Naxalite in that film!
The first finalised release date of this movie was 13th May, 2021 but Covid-19 second wave made it get postponed. Then the film stood in the Pongal race but once again the same pandemic postponed it once again and finally, the movie will be released on 29th April, 2022 in the theatres worldwide!
