RIP Kaikala Satyanarayana: A Lesser Known Facts About This Legendary Actor
Tollywood’s legendary actor Kaikala Satyanarayana passed away today morning at the age of 87. He breathed his last at his home due to age-related issues and the last rites will be performed today.
Right from Chiranjeevi to Ravi Teja, many actors are dropping condolence messages on social media and are shocked with his sudden demise.
Kaikala Satyanarayana was born on 25th July, 1935 in Kavutaram village in Krishna district. He completed his primary education in Gudlavalleru and intermediate at Vijayawada. He also finished off his graduation from Gidivada college.
Kaikala Satyanarayana was married to Nageswaramma on 10th April, 1960 and the couple are blessed with 4 children (two daughters and two sons).
Kaikala Satyanarayana was interested in acting from his childhood itself and he also acted in many stage shows during his college days. Ace filmmaker D. L. Narayana offered him the first chance in Sipayi Kuthuru in 1959 but it didn’t go well at the box office.
After his debut, he also acted as a dupe for senior NTR and with the great actor’s support he bagged a chance in Sahasra Siracheda Apoorva Chinthamani movie. This film made him settle as an actor and from then he had no look back.
Not only as an actor but also Kaikala also proved himself a producer by bankrolling Gaja Donga, Iddaru Dongalu, Kodama Simham and a few other movies.
Kaikala acted in more than 800 movies as a hero, antagonist, side actor and a few small cameo roles too.
He is honoured with:
• Lifetime Achievement Award (2017)
• Nandi Awards: Best Feature Film – Bangaru Kutumbam (1994)
• Raghupathi Venkaiah Award – 2011
• NTR Vignan Trust Award[10]
• Natasekhara, presented by an NGO in Anantapur and Gudiwada Municipal Civic Center
• Kalaprapurna, presented by Kavali Cultural Association
Kaikala also served as the Member of Parliament in the 11th Lok Sabha by winning the election from Machilipatnam constituency from Telugu Desam Party!
He was last seen in Mahesh Babu’s Maharshi movie… He essayed the role of Pooja Hegde’s grandfather in that film.
