GHMC Election Day

The election for GHMC will be held on December 1 from 7 am to 6 pm. Repolling will be held at some places on December 3 if necessary. Ballot boxes will be used instead of EVMs.
Nominations
The nomination process began today based on the division wise under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation limits. The last date for filing nominations is November 20. Candidates can withdraw nominations on November 21 and November 22.
Voters
Around 74.04 lakh voters will exercise their franchise. There are around 52.09 per cent male voters and 47.90 per cent female voters. Mailardevpally under GHMC holds the highest number of voters of 79,290 and the least in Ramachandrapuram with 27,997 voters.
Polling booths
As many as 2,700 polling booths will be arranged for GHMC elections out of which 1,004 are considered as problematic polling booths and 1,439 sensitive polling booths.
GHMC Elections 2020 Results
The counting of ballot papers will end by 12 noon on December 4 and the result will be declared by 3 pm.
Reservation
Greater mayor position has been reserved for the woman in the general category. Two wards have been reserved for ST including one general and one woman and 10 for BC including 5 general and 5 women and 50 wards for BC including 25 general and 25 women.
