David Warner has been with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) since 2014 and is by far their leading run-scorer, having scored over 4,000 runs.

Between 2014 and 2021, Warner has played 95 matches for SRH, scoring 4,014 runs at an average of 49.55. That includes 40 fifties and two centuries.
IPL title
Warner captained SRH to their maiden title in 2016 as Hyderabad defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the final, coincidently at the home ground of RCB – Chinnaswamy Stadium.

The ongoing edition of IPL is the first season since 2015 where SRH have failed to qualify for the playoffs. From 13 matches, SRH have managed to win only three games.

The Australian batsman scored only 195 runs in eight games at 24.37 before getting dropped from the SRH side. Due to SRH’s poor performances, they also sacked Warner in the middle of this season.
2 new teams
Two new teams are set to be added in the IPL from next season. Ahead of the 2022 edition, a mega auction will take place that will see all the players go under the hammer. Each franchise is allowed to retain only 2 players, according to reports.
‘Thank you for memories’
Warner has hinted that he may not be retained by SRH ahead of the IPL 2022. “Thank You for the memories created. To all the fans, you have been a driving force for our team always to give 100%. I can’t thank you all enough for the support shown. It’s been a great ride. My family and I are going to miss you all!!” wrote Warner in an Instagram post.
