CSK beat KKR
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) defeated Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by two wickets in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 on Sunday.

CSK needed 4 runs in the final over and they lost Sam Curran on the first ball of the over. At 1 needed off 2, KKR dismissed Ravindra Jadeja.
Deepak Chahar rescues CSK
When CSK needed 1 off 1, new batsman Deepak Chahar was on strike. As Sunil Narine bowled a carom ball, outside off, Chahar kept his cool and got some bat on the ball to finish the job for CSK.
CSK beat MI in chase record in IPL
The last-ball win over KKR on Sunday was the seventh instance of CSK winning a run chase off the final ball of the innings - the most by a team in IPL going past six by Mumbai Indians.
CSK does it again!
This was also the third time CSK had defeated KKR off the final ball of a run chase. The previous two instances came in the 2012 edition (5-wicket win in Kolkata) and the 2020 edition (6-wicket win in Dubai).
KKR claim a forgettable record
KKR have now lost off the final ball defending a target six times in the IPL - the most by a side in the competition. Coincidentally, they have claimed the forgettable record by surpassing MI (5 times).
