Shakib Al Hasan
The World No. 1 all-rounder, Shakib Al Hasan, recently surpassed Malinga to become the leading wicket-taker in the T20Is. The Bangladesh off-spinner has 108 wickets in 89 matches in the T20Is. He has clinched one 5-wicket and four 4-wicket hauls so far, with 5 for 20 being his best spell.
Lasith Malinga
When Malinga retired from all forms of cricket in September 2021, he was the leading wicket taker in the T20Is with 107 wickets to his name. However, he is now second in the list of career most T20I wickets.
Tim Southee
Going into the T20 World Cup, the New Zealand fast bowler is one dismissal away from completing 100 wickets in the T20Is. Having been playing the shortest format for the BlackCaps, Southee has one each of a 4-wicket and 5-wicket hauls to his name, with 5 for 18 being his best spell.
Shahid Afridi
The former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi stands fourth in the list of most wickets in the T20Is. Afridi, who played T20Is for Pakistan from 2006 to 2018, picked up 98 wickets in 99 matches. His best spell was 4 for 11.
Rashid Khan
The leg spinner from Afghanistan, Rashid Khan, has been playing the T20Is since 2015. With 95 wickets in 51 matches, Rashid is 5th in the list of most wickets in the T20Is. Rashid has two 5-wicket and three 4-wicket hauls to his name, while his best spell is 5 for 3.
