Pakistan skipper Babar Azam completed 2,000 runs in the Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) for Pakistan on Sunday.

Fastest man to 2,000 T20I runs Babar Azam broke Virat Kohli’s record to become the fastest man to reach 2,000 runs in the shortest format, in terms of innings. While Kohli took 56 innings to 2,000 T20I runs, Babar clinched the record in four fewer innings.

Third Pakistani batsman Babar Azam became the third batsman from Pakistan to score 2,000 or more runs in the T20Is after Mohammad Hafeez (2,388 runs in 99 innings) and Shoaib Malik (2,323 runs in 105 innings). Babar Azam has a much better record, scoring 2,035 runs in just 52 innings.
