US Open: Rafael Nadal’s message for Serena Williams [Watch]

The final Grand Slam of the year, the US Open, is currently underway at Flushing Meadows, New York.

Serena Williams and Rafael Nadal are the legends of the Open Era, having won a record 23 ad 22 Grand Slam titles among women and men respectively.

Serena, who is chasing a record-equalling 24th Grand Slam title, recently announced that she would be retiring from professional tennis after the US Open.

Ever since Serena broke the news, tributes for the tennis legend have been pouring and not from just the tennis fraternity but from across sports.

In a recent video shared by ATP, Nadal can be seen thanking Serena for all of her contributions to the sport and wishing her well for her life’s new chapter.

“Hi, Serena. From my side, I can just say thank you. Thank you for all the amazing things that you did for our sport, such an amazing ambassador. It has been a huge honor to share almost all of my tennis career with you” – Nadal

"Honestly, I have plenty of memories of you winning, playing, and emotional moments. It's been a huge privilege. So, all the best for your future and life. Hopefully, we can keep seeing each other around the tour, and as I said, all the very best. See you soon," added Nadal.
