With one call customers can book tour package tickets, hire special buses

• Supervisor at depot will book tickets on behalf of the customer

Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) added another feature to its call centre to rake in revenues.

The new feature will enable the customers to book tour package tickets and hire special buses by making a single call. The phone calls received by the customers would be directed to the official concerned and once the transaction was complete, an SMS would be sent to both the customer and the official who took the call, indicating the customer’s and official’s phone number for future contacts.

GV Ramana Rao, executive director (operations) APSRTC, said, “We want to provide better facilities to customers. Previously, a number was given to customers who would have to again make a call. But with this new feature the entire transaction would be completed in just one call. While the customer is put on hold, the call would be diverted to the concerned depot. A supervisor would take the call to complete the booking.”
