The Centre's decision to carve out Telangana state from Andhra Pradesh resulted in some never-before scenes in Parliament today. This happened when the Parliamentarians from Congress and TDP came to blows during the session.

Soon as the proceedings of Lok Sabha reached Prime Minister Mamohan Singh, the PM said:"My heart bleeds to see what is happening in the house. It is sad for democracy,"
Even union ministers KS Rao, D Purandeswari, Chiranjeevi and K Surya Prakash Reddy who had till now confined themselves to the comforts of their seats were seen protesting at the Well of the House.
Even as Jai Samaikyandhra slogans rent the air, the screams and shouts of the ministers literally deafened the House making it impossible for Railway Minister Mallikarjuna Kharge to go ahead with his presentation of interim railway budget.
Despite repeated requests from the Congress High Command to not disrupt the sessions, both Houses of the Parliament witnessed some unruly scenes where placards and tore papers were found near Chairman's seat.
It may be recalled that the Congress expelled six MPs from Seemandhra for moving a no-confidence motion against the Prime Minister over the contentious issue. This perhaps was a move to warn and deter rebels within the party who are planning to challenge Congress' decision to divide AP.
