Telangana Democratic Front (TDF) had called for the Chalo Assembly march to protest killing of two Maoists - Shruthi and Vidyasagar in Warangal on September 16 by the police. But the police teams conducted search on the OU campus and arrested few students. Tension prevailed as the students resisted the arrest.
The Chalo Assembly march was denied permission by the Hyderabad police on grounds that the march might witness participation from Maoists and indulge in violence. The Chalo Assembly march began on Wednesday and the police are trying to stop the students taking part in the march and arrested leader Varavara Rao at RTC X Roads.
